1) Arrive in Amsterdam from Schiphol Airport

But keep in mind that at Amsterdam airport there is a train station that runs underneath Schiphol airport, so why bother using another solution?
2) Transfer from Schiphol and Amsterdam by train
In fact, once you arrive at Schiphol airport, you just have to follow the sign with a train. Then in the great hall you can buy a ticket from one of the many yellow machines or you can buy it in advance and receive the ticket in the mail.

Buses 370 and 197 (Interliner) will take you to Leidseplein (this is where I recommend staying in Amsterdam), which is in the center and Oud Zuid during the day. They leave every quarter of an hour.
If you arrive late at night, you can take buses 97 and 358 (Niteliner) to the same destinations. These buses run from 00:30 am to 05:00 am
To catch the bus, go to Schiphol Plaza, opposite the arrivals and departures terminal. The trip takes half an hour and a one-way ticket costs € 5,20. You have to buy it on the bus. But the easiest thing is to catch the train.

As I told you, you can buy a ticket at one of the many yellow machines in the airport lobby or you can buy it in advance and receive the ticket in the mail.

Leaving Bordeaux to land in Athens I went through Shipol airport (with checked luggage from Bordeaux and a backpack in the cabin). I arrived at the airport at 8:30 am and the departure to Athens was at 14:XNUMX pm.
So I took the train from Amsterdam airport to Amsterdam, which took 25 minutes. I arrived in Amsterdam at 9:15 am. Amsterdam walking tour until 12:15 pm I came back at 13 pm so no problem!
