4) Visit Delft at 40 minutes the Keukenhof

You can also take the opportunity to go visit the beautiful city of Delft it's really worth the detour. Delft is known throughout the world for its porcelain, for the famous painter Johannes Vermeer (1632-1675) or even for the Royal House. It is very nice to walk along the canals and visit the mansions, churches and inner courtyards.

Delft is a university town, very lively and therefore very pleasant. You will find many museums and markets ... as well as many pubs!

So a great idea for a day trip is to visit Delft in the morning and then Heukenhof in the afternoon. Delft is 40 minutes from the park and 55 minutes from Amsterdam, so it's quite easy to get there!

5) Where to sleep in Delft or near the Keukenhof garden

For my part, I stayed in Amsterdam, at the International Budget Hostel City Center, a very well located bed & breakfast. Price of one night € 50 / person, in a room of 5 people instead. And yes, you should know that hotels are very expensive in Amsterdam.

/! Many hoteliers (as well as bars and restaurants) are reluctant to use a credit card (3-5% commission is expected). Remember to have enough cash to pay for your room and buy yourself a drink.

I advise you to book well in advance 2 or 3 months would be ideal. In fact, depending on the season, the prices vary from single to double. In fact, prices can also vary depending on the day of the week. Suddenly, starting Friday night, prices go up.

For accommodation ideas (in Amsterdam), I advise you to go see my selection in my article: Where to stay in Amsterdam.

The coolest areas are: Vondelpark, Museum, Leidseplein, Red Light District.

If you love gardens, I can only advise you to visit the site of a passionate gardener, you will find your happiness there! ;)

Well here it is, I think you got it all discover Keukenhof pleasantly.

And what did you like the most about Keukenhof?

Do you have good addresses to share in Delft?
